Patient Care

Family Dentist, Cabot, AR, Burleson Family DentistryWe value our patients and believe that excellent communication between our patients and staff is crucial for patients to receive the highest quality dental care. We have several avenues that will ensure our patients’ understand the options and treatments that are available.  Our staff; from the doctors, to the front desk and clinical workers, are highly trained and knowledgeable in the clinical procedures we provide. If you have any questions concerning treatment the doctors have recommended, please ask them or another staff member. They will be glad to help you. We also have informative brochures throughout the office. We encourage patients to read them so they will better understand their dental needs. If you have any questions or problems after your appointment, please give us a call. Drs. James and Brad Burleson contact patients who have had extensive dental work at the end of the day, to monitor their progress. All patients suffering from life threatening medical conditions, such as extreme swelling or difficulty breathing, should go to the nearest hospital emergency room immediately.

Scheduling Appointments

New patients are welcome at our office! Feel free to come by and schedule an appointment or call us during office hours. We value your appointment as the chance to serve you and we ask that you value your scheduled time with us. If you find that you are not going to be able to keep your appointment time, please contact us immediately, so we can allow another patient to be served during that time. If you fail to contact us at least 24-hours prior to your scheduled time, then it will be considered a broken appointment. We reserve the right to charge a fee for broken appointments. We also reserve the right to terminate the Dr./ patient relationship if two or more broken appointments have occurred.

Financial Policy

  • All patients must complete our patient information form before seeing the doctors.
  • Payment is due at the time of service.
  • We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
  • CareCredit is a dental credit card that offers a variety of interest free options and extended payment plans. Ask a staff member for details.
  • Patients are responsible for payment of our fees regardless of what their insurance pays. Insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. We are not a party to that contract. As a courtesy to our patients, if requested, we will provide an estimate of what we think your insurance will pay. Please realize this is just an estimate, and your cost may be more or less than the estimate. In the event that your insurance will not cover treatment provided, for whatever reason, you are still responsible for payment of fees.

If we file your insurance, you must pay any co-payments and deductibles at the time of service.

Minor Treatment Policy

We would prefer that a parent or legal guardian be present at our office during the treatment of minor patients. Parents of patients under the age of 16 must be present at the office during treatment, in case of an emergency or if questions arise.

For patients ages 16-17, we would prefer the presence of a parent or at least a signature of parental consent allowing us to perform any treatment we deem necessary. The signature of this consent also acknowledges that the parent is responsible for the cost of all the minor’s dental treatment we deem necessary, and also for notifying our office of any changes to their medical history prior to treatment.
